What can I expect in a therapy session?
My approach as a therapist is warm yet purposeful, guiding you with clarity while gently challenging you. Therapy with me isn’t just about “validating” your feelings—it’s about real transformation. Together, we’ll explore the root causes of your struggles, and we’ll develop effective strategies and tools to help you heal and thrive. I’m solution-focused, and my goal is to help you create lasting change. I’ll support you through the process of building resilience and finding the strength you need to move forward. Ultimately, we’ll work together to help you overcome obstacles and create the life you deserve. Sessions typically last 45-50 minutes, and the frequency of meetings will depend on your needs and goals.

Please check with your insurance provider to confirm your coverage for therapy services.
What are your fees and payment policies?
Our 50-minute psychotherapy sessions are $160 per session and our 30-minute check-in sessions are $90 per session. We offer a transparent pricing structure, and all fees are clearly communicated before your first session. Payment is due at the time of service and can be made via credit card or e-transfer.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours notice to avoid any cancellation fees. You can change your appointment on the online booking system or reach us by email to adjust your appointment. We understand that life can be unpredictable and will work with you to find an alternative time if needed.
How long will I need therapy?
For most clients, 10 to 15 sessions tend to be effective in addressing specific concerns like anxiety. However, the number of sessions you may need depends on your individual goals, the complexity of your concerns, and how quickly you feel you are progressing. Some people find relief and make significant progress in a short time, while others may choose to continue therapy longer for deeper healing or ongoing personal development. Together, we’ll discuss your goals and create a treatment plan that aligns with your needs.
Do you offer support for concerns beyond anxiety?
Yes, absolutely! While we do offer therapy for anxiety, we support a wide range of concerns, including eating disorders, relationship issues, emotion regulation, self- confidence, trauma, grief, stress, and more. We tailor our approach to meet your specific needs, so whether you are dealing with a particular issue or just seeking personal growth, we’re here to help.
What is Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT)?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a widely used, evidence-based therapeutic approach that focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. The goal of CBT is to help individuals identify and challenge negative or distorted thinking patterns and replace them with healthier, more constructive ways of thinking and behaving. This approach is particularly effective for struggles such as anxiety, depression, stress, and eating disorders.
What is Modern Therapy?
Modern Therapy refers to contemporary, integrative approaches to therapy that blend traditional therapeutic models with current scientific research, and a focus on holistic well-being.
Modern therapists often use a combination of evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and other approaches, tailored to meet each client's unique needs. This approach places a strong emphasis on collaboration, empathy, and the application of practical skills to help clients address real-world challenges. Modern therapy also recognizes the importance of self-compassion, personal empowerment, and long-term growth, allowing clients to make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives.
I’m nervous about starting therapy. What should I do?
It’s completely normal to feel nervous or unsure about starting therapy. Many clients feel the same way at first. The important thing is to take that first step and reach out. We are here to guide you through the process and make you feel as comfortable as possible. In your first session, we’ll discuss your goals and create a plan that feels right for you.
What if I don’t feel a connection with the therapist?
It’s important that you feel comfortable with your therapist. If, after a few sessions, you feel that the fit isn’t right, we encourage you to discuss it openly with your therapist. If needed, we can help refer you to another provider who might better meet your needs. Your comfort and progress are our top priority.
